ADRIA CUMONOW

Adria Cumonow: Associate

Adria Cumonow began her career in 1983 as Gallery Director for the Dallas division of Fidelity Arts, then one of the largest fine-art publishers in America. Quickly building an expert reputation in the acquisition of fine and decorative art and sculpture for corporate, hospitality, and high-end residential clients, she soon became integral to maintaining Fidelity's industry-leading status through her skill at spotting emerging trends and discovering promising new artists. In 1991, Winn-Devon, one of the largest fine-art publishers in the world, persuaded her to come to Los Angeles. As Regional Gallery Director she did for them what she did for Fidelity in Dallas, helping expand their corporate, hospitality, and high-end residential reach.

Cumonow met Bronson in 1995 and thus began their longstanding professional and collegial relationship. With Fidelity Arts now consolidated and under his ownership in Santa Monica, she returned as Gallery Director, overseeing acquisitions and developing marketing strategies. When Bronson founded Princess Cruises Fine Arts in 1997, she helped devise policies, procedures, customer service, and fulfillment, and supervise acquisitions. In the early 2000s, Bronson and Cumonow foresaw dramatic changes coming to the retail art world with the rise of the Internet and on-demand printing. He transformed Fidelity Arts into a specialized design-and-acquisitions firm. She founded Argos Publishing—now in its 10th year—traveling the world in search of original and limited-edition works by new and established artists. As Consulting Associate with BFA, it has given her the opportunity to complement her worldwide acquisition of contemporary mid-level works for a broad-based audience with masterworks in painting and sculpture for particularly discerning buyers.

Adria prides herself on her keen eye and expertise. She is dedicated to making one's acquisition experience almost as enjoyable as the result.
